Pizza in Midland
Pizza is one of Midland’s favorite food groups, from late-night cravings to family dinners. National chains are everywhere—seven Domino’s (with an eighth on the way at N. 349 and Tejas), five Little Caesars, four Pizza Huts, a Papa John’s, and even a Papa Murphy’s for bake-at-home night. Marco’s Pizza is joining the lineup soon, opening on N. Midkiff Road this October.
But here at Midland Byte, we only list the places we’d honestly recommend. If a restaurant makes it onto this page, we believe it’s worth your time and your appetite. Two local favorites lead the way: Ray’s Italian Bistro, a long-standing classic known for its Neapolitan pies, gourmet combinations, and cozy BYOB atmosphere, and Decasa Wood-Fired Pizza, where blistered crusts, fresh toppings, and creative flavor combos like Hot Honey Pepperoni turn Friday night into a tradition.
These are the spots that stand out from the pack — the ones we’d send friends and family to without hesitation.
Decasa Wood-Fired Pizza
Decasa turns out exceptional wood-fired pies with a crisp, blistered crust, bright sauces, and toppings that taste super fresh. The Hot Honey Pepperoni is a standout — simple on paper, but perfectly balanced with that sweet-heat finish that keeps you reaching for another slice. Quality ingredients are the star here, and the menu has enough range that everyone in your crew can find a favorite.
Service matches the food: friendly faces at pickup, quick turnarounds, and a clean, well-organized setup. It’s the kind of neighborhood spot that easily becomes a Friday-night ritual — share a pie with the family, then come back to work your way through the rest of the lineup. Highly recommended.

Ray’s Italian Bistro
A local favorite, Ray’s Italian Bistro has been serving authentic Italian comfort food in Midland for years. Known for its BYOB-friendly atmosphere, warm service, and hearty plates, it’s the kind of strip-mall gem that locals recommend again and again. Pastas, pizzas, and baked specialties headline the menu, but it’s the house-made recipes and consistency that keep regulars coming back.
Pizza lovers will find plenty to enjoy. The Neapolitan base comes in large or extra-large, with customizable toppings ranging from classics like pepperoni, sausage, and mushrooms to extras like spinach, artichokes, and anchovies. Ray’s also offers a lineup of gourmet pies: the Meat Lovers loaded with pepperoni, Canadian bacon, hamburger, and Italian sausage; the Florentino with garlic, spinach, and sliced Roma tomatoes; the Margherita showcasing mozzarella, basil, and garlic; and the signature Ray’s After Dark, a bold blend of spinach, feta, kalamata olives, basil pesto, and mozzarella. With sizes up to 18 inches, these pizzas are perfect for sharing.
Beyond pizza, Ray’s menu stretches wide — baked ziti, creamy pastas, and hearty chicken dishes all round out the offerings. But whether you’re splitting a pie or sitting down for a full Italian dinner, Ray’s delivers approachable, well-prepared dishes that feel both classic and comforting.
